How It All Works

What kinds of projects can I propose?

Community gardens, trails, benches, signage, playgrounds, public art—if it improves your community, we want to hear it.

Anyone who lives in the community they want to improve.

Once your project is approved, we’ll create a secure online donation page where your neighbors and supporters can contribute. You’ll see progress in real time.

We review your idea, match you with your local Project Manager, and begin scoping the next steps.

Yes. Every project page will show transparent progress updates and fund usage.

Community Stake was founded by Travis Minch, a trained urban planner passionate about helping people shape the places they live. He leads a small, mission-driven team committed to turning local ideas into real civic improvements. (Learn more about our mission and Travis on the About page.)

We’re currently focused on Northeast Florida, with plans to expand across the state as more communities get involved.

We encourage you to follow each project’s page to see updates, upcoming events, and ways to get involved. You can also reach out to us anytime to learn about ways to help outside of donating funds.

Let’s talk. We’re looking to grow across Florida with new local leaders.

We work closely with local officials, city and county staff, and other stakeholders to ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and align with broader community goals. We also share feedback we’ve gathered to help build support among decision-makers and make sure local voices are part of the process from the start.
